Customer research & need-finding

We started out need-finding exercise with a niche audience of dedicated and experienced sailors to identify areas of high importance and low satisfaction. From this, we were able to identify areas that are of high importance but underserved.

Design sprint

We then ran a short design sprint to identify the project’s highest technical and UX risk areas and develop possible prototypes that could help derisk the project.

Prototyping & build

Finally, we rapidly prototyped, built and launched the first working version of the application on iOS & Android using Ionic React Native and Ruby on Rails.
