While Bionic recruited a new CTO we filled in helping architect technical solutions and improving the overall technical processes.
Functionality and gap analysis
We looked at the full stack of systems in the organisation to understand current capabilities and areas which could be improved.
From this, there was an isolated set of services that could be tightly integrated into their target CRM solutions SalesForce or that needed rewriting.
Retirement of Legacy Services
As part of the initial audit we were able to identify a number of legacy services that were retired or whose functionality could be reduced. This allowed for reduced technical maintenance/debt and increased the technical teams capacity.
Management Team Reporting
Finally, working with the management team we established a number of business cases for investment in legacy systems. These systems had excessive technical debt that was hindering overall team productivity.
By refreshing them the team had significantly increased velocity for new innovation projects.
